December....

So it's been it a Real Busy Month... You know spreading holiday cheer, wrapping presents, making coquito, trying to be Santa, making women look Fabulous.

Sometimes I think I can do it all ;)  but I Can't which is Why this is my first December Blogpost on the next to last day of the Year!!!

I have a lot of images that I've taken and while I am not ready to share it all....I'll share that alot of what keeps me busy in This Month is Quality time with Family.

It's been years too many since I last visited this place but I was determined to make it to the fesitval of Lights at La Sallette Shrine and I did. I went with my niece Erika and my two little ones. It was really cold but we enjoyed it =)  I hope you enjoy the many images I took.

I Love Spending Quality time out with My kiddos..but rarely get pics of me with them...I may not look my best but I'm with them and I'm happy and that's the beauty of it.

The Lights on the Water were amazing...

Jesus is the Reason for the Season..They had a very nice nativity scene along with a live Donkey....If you have a chance to visit definitely go and enjoy....Only a few days left.

I'm Thankful....

God knows how thankful I am. To have these wonderful Children that Love me. To be able to live in a great neighborhood. To have a nice home in which to raise them. I Praise the Lord for these things and I give thanks.

I'm grateful for all the circumstances in my life because they make me strong, they make me who I am and they build my character. I am always going to be grateful to be able to live a life of praise for My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

13 For I can do everything through Christ,[c] who gives me strength.
Philippians 4:13 NLT

We had a nice Thanskgiving Lunch before going off to visit family and friends. People celebrate differently. I like setting the table and putting the whole turkey on the table.  My family is Puerto Rican and although many do it this way, most are not accustomed to this. They make a lot of food, but it's more of a buffet and you don't get to set the table. Since sitting at the table and praying before our meal is really important to me, that's why I made our family meal at home.  So we could sit at the table and Give thanks to the Lord.

Here's a peek...

It was truly delicious and I made Flan for desert.  I couldn't eat anything else for the rest of the Day =)

Enjoy!!! Happy Thursday!

I hope everyone had a Blessed One...

The Art of Emotion....

It's moments like these when I Love my job.  To capture such emotion that it can be turned into Art.

I've been told on many occasions that I really capture emotion. I believe that.  I am a bit of an emotional person, it's part of who I am.  I feel it's the best part of being a wedding Photographer.  Recognizing the emotion and capturing it.  I love looking at an image and feeling it, not just seeing it.

At this moment this couple is dancing in the dark and truly enjoying each other. How lovely and intimate. Something to be able to cherish so many years down the road.

This image was converted to black and white and then grain was added to give it the look it has. I still insist it's the emotion in the image that makes it a true work of Art ;)

I Love being an Artist....Happy Friday!!

Boston Millenium Hotel Wedding....

I had the honor of Second Shooting with Ann Ruthmann Photography at the Millenium Hotel in Boston. I love Quincy Market and all of the surroundings.  Especially the horse drawn Carriage Rides they have there... You can see all of this from the window of this Ballroom. It's all so romantic.

Here are a few images from the day! Enjoy!!

Self Serve....

Why is that sometimes we can go all out to serve other people but we don't do it for ourselves? Let me rephrase that and make it a little more personal. I always go all out for everyone else and rarely do anything special for myself.  I am learning through many personal experiences that people often treat you how you treat yourself.  So why NOT go all out..Right??

I've been Reading an awful lot of Joyce Meyer these days and I'll quote her...

"Most of us get up every day hoping somebody else will make us happy"
I think we can do this for ourselves and yet it is always the expectation that some one else meet our needs. When in reality we have the power to make ourselves happy.  I saw a post by a woman who commenting that she was cooking, while enjoying a glass of wine and her music...but she said she was accompanied by her friend Soledad (solidtude).  I had to share that it is so important to enjoy your own company.  I for one am learning that lesson. At breakfast time I am alone, most of the time.  I don't need anyone to join me to have a really good breakfast, but most times I won't bother to cook anything...just for me. If I have a guest, I serve up the works.  when it's just me I just tend to grab my coffee and something quick.

But, since I am learning that I shouldn't expect others to make me happy, I decided to make a Special Banana pancake type of breakfast. And let me tell you banana pancakes make me happy!!  =)

I cooked them, self served them and made them extra special.....YUP just for me ;)

Happy Wednesday!!!

My Own....

They are the one's that should cooperate the most when it's time for a portrait shoot. RIGHT?? Well guess again. It's that time of year when you want to send a nice picture of the kids to family and friends in a Christmas card.  I guess they get theirs done so often that it's not as fun anymore.  For them it's more of a task.
After some pleading and begging and threats to cooperate, I did get a few good ones. I think I might have what I want for the Cards but here's a peek.  I'll save the best for the Christmas cards but this one is not so bad.

You can see a major growth spurt in both of them when you compare this image to the previous post Growing...

Happy Tuesday!!!

Growing...

I find it unbelievable how quickly change happens.  It's so true what they say,  enjoy your kids because you blink and they are all grown up.

These are my little ones last year around this time.  Crazy...is how much they've changed. This was a day at the park in autumn 2010.  You'll have to catch the next post to see how they've grown ;)
Check out all those baby teeth =)

They Light up My Life =)

Summer's Beauty...

Summer's Beauty...it's sometimes short lived....

These beauties sprung up along my fence this year and I was only briefly able to enjoy them.  They just don't last that long and life gets busy, so there's not much time to just sit and admire them.  I'm glad I was able to take the time to photograph them.

It's funny how many images I have in my database that I hadn't blogged. I know why now.  This challenge has made me realize that the reason I don't blog an image sometimes is because I have convinced myself that I need to write.  Hmmm... but guess what?  I'm not a writer I'm a Photographer!!! SOOO... Excuse my grammar and enjoy my images :)

North Beach...

Every year I get the same invitation to North Beach. After a few years of no being able to make it for one reason or another, this year I finally did.  Miss Yadian and I packed the kids up and went to go see Edie at her yearly Vacation Spot.

I'm so glad we did, the kids had an amazing time and we were able to relax and enjoy the views.

Here are a few pics from the day.

What a great group hug...those guys will be friends for life :)

New Business Cards...

These are actually a little over due.  I had a lot of Business Cards and even after re-branding, I felt I needed to use the old ones all up.

I finally sat with my new design that was ready in May, yesterday in the morning.  I tweaked a few little things and send them off to print. I got them back amazingly fast...I Love Miller's Professional Lab.

I am truly pleased and feel like now I can say my business card really represent Me as a Brand.

I can not wait to hand these babies out =D

My Promise...

Good Morning.....

I Promised Myself that even if I didn't have words, I would post an image anyway as part of the November Randomness challenge.
So here it is folks just an image with not much to describe except for the Lovely colors :)
Enjoy!!

I'll close with this Quote that has nothing to do with the image and more to do with how I feel today ;)

RED...

As Part of November Randomness I decided to take a closer look at one of the bushes in my Yard. It's kinda hard to believe that it was green just the other day. When the snow came in it was almost completely on the ground. It bounced back rather quickly as soon as the snow melted, then it changed it's color.
(sigh) I love Autumn colors...here is the color Red.....

In the image above I let the fence come through so you can get an idea of how big it actually is.

Enjoy!!! Some might even call it PINK ;)
